Every time you see a movie with a jungle location you are seeing the rainforest, Tropical rainforests are integral to a healthy planet and its ability to support life. They regulate earth's climate, are a deterrent against the greenhouse effect, contain edible food crops and other resources and prevent poverty and starvation. In every sense, a standing rainforest supplies more economic wealth than if it were cleared away. Yet regardless of their importance, deforestation continues, a football field-sized area of rainforest is lost every second of every day.
Costa Rica preserves an important amount of rainforest land and today this preservation has created a profitable business and a way to protect this lungs of the world good examples of rainforest locations are:

The Arenal area  
This area is blessed with natural resources and very accessible rainforests like the Fortuna Waterfall (see video) or the Cerro Chato this is the mountain contiguous to the volcano Arenal , the hanging bridges (see video) are also a perfect sample of a rainforest location also one hour away from the Arenal volcano you can visit one of the most primitive rainforest of the north zone the Tenorio national park here you will encounter primary forest and incredible nature acts like the blue turquoise river and waterfall (see video) next to this river you will also find hot springs great to dip in.
  The Central Pacific Rain forests  
  The most notable rainforest areas in the Central Pacific are the Carara National Park located 15 minutes from the town of Jaco beach and the National Park of Manuel Antonio this place in particular has enourmos beuty the lush green rainforest kisses the ocean with white sand beaches. In the park and the area around is common to see wild monkeys and other intersting animals and birds if you are lucky you may see the Titi monkey being this place the last posible place to see the smallest of the primates witch is in endagerd of extinction.
