where to go.
Caribbean sea
The Caribbean coast
may not have as many beaches as the pacific side but it is
well worth making a trip to that side of the country.
It has the benefit of having the most enchanting coastal scenery
in the country. It is full of lowland rainforests and countless
bird species. The Caribbean coast is also famous for the green
sea turtles, giant leatherbacks and hawksbill turtles that
nest along the shores.
Along the beaches are submerged
coral reefs with life forms such as colorful sponges, sea
stars, and moray eels.
The beaches appear to be unending except for the breaks
in the coastline by entering rivers. These rivers are flowing
with game fish. This makes it a popular spot for nature
lovers and sport fishermen.
The Caribbean side is mainly protected by different national
Parks. One of these parks is the Tortugero National Park.
The park is there to protect one of the world's most important
nesting beaches. The park offers tours from January to October
to walk on the beaches at night and catch the turtles nesting
along the beach. You could also choose to go on one of the
wildlife boat trips. Cahuita National Park is also available
for visiting. This park protects the country's biggest coral
reef. The reef is full of color and different life forms.
The beaches near the end of the Caribbean coast also have
a sort of attraction to them. Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo
also are full of marine life but are more famous for there
culture experience. Changing from the normal hispanic cultural
view that covers the rest of the country, it is the home
of the Afro-Caribbean culture. It will expose you to a new
interesting Costa Rica. There is even its own language,
food, and music throughout the town, as through the caribbean.
These are just a few of the things you can find in the Caribbean.
We won't say more. You have to find out for yourself.
